Today was crazy! Not because I had a lot of things to do, but because I had a few things to do, that I should have been prepared for long before today. Mainly school supply shopping. I think it is a bit different in OR than AZ. If I remember correctly you don't have to buy everything in AZ. Well tonight was the night to drop off all the billions of supplies at school. Of course I did not realize this until this morning.( slacker mom #1). So we drove all around town trying to get everything on our list but because we waited so long all the stores were out of everything.(slacker mom #2). And these are some serious lists. I'm not talking paper and pencils here! After spending $150.00 on probably 3/4 of the kids school supplies, I called it quits for the day. They can take the rest in on Tuesday. The first day of school. AAGGHH!!
PS, On a good note we did receive Boston's middle school schedule in the mail today. The packet I was supposed to pick up last Wednesday. (slacker mom #3).

Oh, I love it. I figure everything works out in the end right. So who cares if you shopped the last day. Time to put your feet up and congratulate yourself on getting it done today.
i laughed and laughed at this. I had fun school supply shopping today with ya!
Do you really think every other mom already bought supplies? Ha! Ha, I say! The teacher will be lucky if half the kids come with supplies. The school won't purchase the rest. She or He will go out and spend her/his own money on them. Then, spend too much, so must change lesson plans. There goes two months worth of planning! You're good!
I can't believe your kids are barely started school on Tuesday. Oh wait I'm done with school so I don't care when everyone else starts. does this mean that Boston will switch teachers or every class? how weird!
He'll switch just like we all did in jr. high. Teachers and classes. Scary, I know.
My brain is too tired after running around all day to really comment on this post. I just can't not comment though.
I find I too often talk anyway, even when I have nothing to say.
Sorry about all the running around you had to do though, I feel worse that you had to get all those supplies. I think I would go insane.
I'm such a slacker too! This post made me laugh so hard!
so is it only oregon that makes us buy a gazillion supplies for school? i have the same problem! i wait until all of the supplies are already purchased by the "super on top of it moms" and i am left with whatever wasn't already bought out, which isn't much! i feel for you!
