Sid style

While we are on the subject. As a fun MLK day activity, Sid and I decluttered her room. She got rid of this!

She kept this!

What is wrong with my child?
Though I seriously worry about her teddy bear taste I did not say a word. I simply wept as I shoved the adorable brown bear in his goodwill (grave) bag.

You should have tricked her and squealed about how cute the purple one was and the brown one was ugly. then she would've reversed her keeping.

Oh, don't ya hate it when your kids don't like the right toys. I sure do. Maren doesn't like her Barbies but she likes the junky ones that she got in McDonalds happy meals like three years ago.

Is that the one from the Dollar tree? (the purple one) It looks familiar. I think it's because we have a couple around here and they are my girls' favorites. Wierd.

Oh, the kids' meals toys. The brown was is adorable, but you do have to admit the purple one has its own pizzazz. :-)

My kids never like the right toys either! Don't they know I get to tell them what to like?

with your gentle guidance Sid will someday like stylish things. It may be when she is an adult but hey at least it is at some point!

We recently did this with our kids toys and so many times I wanted to snap them out of their decision, but then I was reminded that we were actually getting rid of things without tears coming from our kids. Why do the dollar store toys haunt us and love to mock our fancy $1+ toys. It's like the pinky and brain cartoon. Pinky says to Brain "What are we going to do today Brain?" Brain says, "What we do everyday. Try to take over the world." Darn cheap toys. Well at least they are cheap prizes. I need to stop. Secretly I do love the dollar store.
