This morning when I was giving our chicken a rub down I felt happy.

Why is it that when I am doing the simplest domestic things that I feel truly happy and fulfilled?

And what was it that I let creep in my brain that keeps telling me that is not the way it's supposed to be?

I am the same way! I'm glad you finally posted. I was just thinking today that I haven't talked to you very often lately and you hadn't been blogging. I was having Merilee withdrawals.

Hmmm you can give my chicken a rub down any time if it turns out like this picture. I also have been wondering where you were. Now I know in the kitchen.

I am the same way. The littlest things make me happy. I wonder why that is.

It's good to see you are still here in the blogging world.

Yay! It's Merilee. I thought maybe Chris left you in Louisiana.

Your chicken look fab.
I completely understand about the domestic things. I wish I could say I was that happy every time I did something domestic though. I hope someday I will be. For now, I still hate to fold clothes and wash dishes though.

I know exactly what you mean. It frustrates me that they're few and far between. Feeding my family is very satisfying to me. Just not when it's fast food. I don't knwo what Elise was talking about laundry though, that's not the same. Atho maybe it is for you, you neat freak.

I love doing laundry. I just love it.

Loving food preparation is even better though, because it's such a great creative outlet, and it's a direct path to the hearts of your children and hubby. Good stuff. Be proud!
