Please raise your hand if you and yours use a towel more than one time before it gets thrown in the laundry. I wash towels way too often. I need some answers. Is it really necessary to wash each time or could we use them say maybe twice?
My next line of business. Do any of you have any Michaels coupons? I need a bunch for the wedding reception I'm helping with.

Yes...we use our towels twice. All you do is dry off with them after you are COMPLETELY CLEAN from a shower. Why not. It saves a TON of laundry.
No coupons but have you tried on-line? I know some companies let you print them off the computer. Good luck.
I was JUST thinking about this this morning! I was thinking about cracking down on the towel usage in my household!! I do waaaay too many loads of towels:)

When they stink, it's time for a wash. This has become more often since I had kids.
There is NO WAY I wash my towels after every usage. In fact, I think I do towels once a week. What's that smell? Oh, it's the Trezises!
Okay, this is good. Now I have established that I'm not crazy for wanting to prolong the towel using process. I have you all to back me when I present this to Chris correct? It sounds like I need to get my grubby little fingers on some hooks.
If chris doesn't go for it then just tell the kids the new rule.

I don't know how many times we use towels but I will say it's always more then once and always less then you could count with both hands. I'm with Janine, I use them until they lose the fresh smell.
I also love your picture of the stack of towels. You always have the best pictures.
I've done a similar thing in our guest room and every once in a while I'll go in that room and lay on the bed and look around and take a deep breath because that room always stays nice.
The kids use towels twice before we wash them...at least that's the theory!
For sure multiple uses here too! We have embroidered names on some towels so we know who's is who's on the towel rack. And if we aren't using the name ones, we go by colors. Makes it way easier. I am always white, and Cody is any other color. *The white are way comfier! :)
wow! i don't really keep track! i am with janine, once they start smelling, they get tossed in the washer! after all of these comments i am embarrassed to even guess how often we wash them! come on, you're clean when you dry off with them!
We use towels about 3 times before washing them. Besides, isn't this Oregon? Aren't we supposed to be saving the environment or something? :)

ok, I'm with the smelly washers. Everyday I walk in my bathroom, I smell the towels and if I get a wiff of something foul, I wash them.
Oh, and I just pulled my Sunday paper in though, so I will clip and send you my Michaels coups if I have any.

Towels? I hang them flat when they are used, (you know, not folded) so I don't think they get mildewy or whatever. I don't even keep track, probable 3 or 4 uses before a wash. But I do wash washcloths after one use. No one is ever going to vote me captain-hygiene though. I'm an every-other-day-showerer, and I just don't care.

Hello people!!! The towels are dirty after you use them once! They hang there all wet and damp and get all smelly... gross! Merilee has forbidden me to throw them in the dirty close pile after one use so now I must use them twice. It does kind of gross me out though. I must force myself to do so.
And on another laundry note - I also have started wearing my jeans more than once before having them washed. These are all big steps for me you know. And if I had it my way I would have the sheets washed at least twice a week! Also, no climbing in bed with clothes on! You have worn those all over town and you want to climb in bed with them - even more gross then the towels!
