This Just In

And by "this" I mean very relieving, long time prayed for and stressed over, and short time fasted for news.

The Cameron family will be staying in Oregon for another 18 months. You never know what will happen but I'm putting this out there anyway. 18 Months Tops!

You'd think I would have learned my lesson.

Chris and I have been praying and such trying to figure exactly what is right for our fam. I was already emotionally living in Logan and having a bit of trouble seeing that that was meant for later.

My final answer came today and I'm so relieved it did. Now I can say with clarity....

Chris put in two years of his time going to school to better provide for his family, now it is my turn. Luckily I'm a Woman and only have to put in 18 Months.

Wish me luck getting through the gray days.

What's going on? Are you eventually moving? I need more information!

Carry on! What a classic song to be playing right now!
You have all your good friends to turn the gray to bright sunny yellow!

Ok, here's the juice.
A few months ago we thought " let's move to Utah". Lots of great reasons for that. I don't feel like elaborating. Prayed. Felt good about Logan. Chris had two good offers from work . Staying in Oregon or moving to Utah. Meanwhile praying about the house we love in Logan. No answer. Then very personal answers. Not about moving one way or the other. I was already planning my Utah life and loved it. Chris's offers from work changed. Much more opportunity for him if we stay. I fasted. Was finally able to imagine us possibly staying. Lots of tears on my part. More prayer. Answered. Stay and give this opportunity to Chris. Very excited to support my husband. Very out of character. So we stay for 18 months because that is the commitment Chris' work asked for. They will then pay for our move to Utah and guarantee Chris a job. Makes a lot of sense in these crazy times. Don't ya think?

Well it may not be what your heart desires but at least there is a silver lining. Happy to hear you are staying! I guess I'll unpack my bags ;)

I'm sure it will be for the best. Sorry your bummed but I"m glad your staying! Have you tried one of those sun lamps to help with the gray skies?

I'm trying as hard as I can to throw some of the bright sunny AZ rays your way and crying inside for you at the same time. I know your family will be extremely blessed for following the Lord's guidance, but I know how it feels to give up what you really wanted to do so that you can do what is right.
At least you don't have to try and sell your house in this crazy market.

I love you, Sis. Brighter days are coming your way.

So, Kas wants to know if that means your family is coming for Christmas.

Have I mentioned how much I love Merilee's Chris for being so wanted at his job?

We'll try, sob, to help cheer you up. It does sound, sniff, like you went about this, sniff, the right way and I'm sure that it will work out great. snuffle.

Oh thank goodness you are staying for a while longer. I need my AZ connection here so we can miss the sun together and talk about our old town. I also love that we can VT each other. You are such a fun friend and it just wouldn't be the same without you! So yippee, even though I should feel sad that you don't get what you want, but I am selfish sometimes and so this is one of those moments. Let's make those 18 months count.

Mer-I want to come visit you. I've never been to Oregon and I have a new goal to visit as many US states as I can. So let me know when the best time of year is to come out and anything I need to know about my visit. K? About your staying/moving dilema that seems to be settled for now-one thing I've learned in the last 3 yrs: home is where your underwear is. Does it really matter where it is as long as you're together? Love you-feel your pain-in a big way sister!
